A Little About Me

Hi there, and thanks for dropping in!

I’m Kevin and I’ve lived in California my entire life, which let’s just say is about half a century.  I’ve explored and experienced so much of this amazing state and I gotta tell you, it continues to impress (even for repeat adventures).  I do recognize this is a fortunate blessing in my life and I’m all the grateful for it.

I passionately run this CA travel blog because I want to help you experience all that this great state has to offer, and I can provide the insider pro tips that I’ve learned through the years.

Just like you, I love to travel, and California has provided me with such a large variety of day, weekend, and extended trips that frankly, I just love reminiscing over them and bringing them back to the life with this blog.  And the best part…I’m still having a blast discovering so many hidden gems in CA.

To me, life is an adventure and I just can’t get enough of it.  There’s so much to do, so much to see, and so many new memories to make, relaxing at home just doesn’t do it for me.  I’m gonna keep exploring all the sights and experiences in CA, so keep checking back for more amazing CA highlights.

If you’re interested, here are some of my passions that help me live life to the fullest:

    • Just being outside and exploring
    • Nature (it feeds my soul)
    • Gardens and botanical preserves (don’t laugh, I just dig it)
    • Tiki Bars and all things Tiki!
    • Themed restaurants and bars (with ultimate ambience)
    • Historic hotels and landmarks
    • Hiking, but really walking anywhere where there’s adventure to be had
    • Biking (anywhere, but I love me some mountain biking)
    • Camping
    • Halloween (vintage & spooky style; not blood & gore style)
    • Anything with melted cheese!
    • Hot sauce (habanero and spicier)
    • The mystery of the next adventure!

Please leave comments with feedback for any of my tips you acted on as well as any “gotta see” spots you think I’ll enjoy too!
